Cross-border business opportunities: Malaysia meets Indonesia

Dec 16, 2024

On 16 Dec, we were honoured to host Malaysia Chambers Jakarta (MCJ) at Finexus MyXaaS Innovation Centre, with Cyberview Innovation and Industry Development Head, Dimitri KH Ang, and Technology Hub Development Division Head, Shafinaz Salim.

MCJ is dedicated to connecting the Malaysian expatriate and business community in Indonesia with local and regional opportunities.

During the session, Raja Elona Safinaz, Advisory Board Director of MCJ, highlighted how they assist Malaysian businesses in navigating Indonesia’s unique cultural nuances, business practices, consumer behaviours, and local regulations.

Meanwhile, Mani Wannan Letchumanan, President of MCJ, shared how Malaysian SMEs can tap into Indonesia’s massive potential as the 16th largest economy by GDP.

For example, Malaysian SMEs can explore market opportunities presented by Indonesia’s USD $7.1 billion Quick Win Programmes, which include the Nutrition Food Programme (USD $4.3 billion or Rp71 trillion), School Renovation (USD $1.2 billion or Rp20 trillion), Food Estates Development (USD $921 million or Rp15 trillion), and Free Medical Check-ups (USD $196 million or Rp3.2 trillion).

Want to learn how to expand your business across borders, from Malaysia to Indonesia and beyond? Stay connected for more insightful talks and opportunities on our platform. We also want to extend our appreciation again to Cyberview Sdn Bhd for joining us.
